For time immemorial, Singer has been the market leader in sewing machines, both industrial and the personal. Today it has diversified into home appliances as well, and I am very happy with their irons.

I had no clue about sewing or embroidery. I was dependent on the local tailor for something as minute as stitching a button. My husband got a Singer Zig Zag fashion maker. I was so hassled because I wasn't sure how am I going to use an automatic sewing machine. But once I read the manual and saw the DVD, working with this machine turned out to be much simpler. Now stitching buttons are just basics for me, I can even make beautiful pillow covers and tops using Singer sewing machine.
